    The AGR Automobile Plant (formerly Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus) in St. Petersburg has assembled 7,900 cars since the resumption of production, the press service of the AGR Automotive Group said. "The full production cycle enterprise Automobile Plant AGR LLC in St. Petersburg manufactured 2,800 Solaris brand vehicles, with a total result of 7,900 vehicles since the start of production in February 2024," the statement said. The former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg started production of cars under the new Solaris brand in February, after the Hyundai plant stopped producing cars in March last year due to difficulties with component supply.
Avtovaz to produce around 1 mln cars per year by 2030. In 2025, output volumes will be seriously higher than those expected in 2024, Maksim Solomon noted
The volume of production of Lada cars may reach 1 mln units per year by 2030 under the optimistic scenario, though everything will depend on the market, President of the company Maksim Sokolov told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Considering the fact that according to our strategy, as has been decided by the board of directors, in the near future we should produce 12 new products, including restyling of the existing model range, we believe that this target (of 1 mln cars - TASS) from the viewpoint of the number of cars produced by Avtovaz may be met. The more so as the range of partner projects where we supply SKD sets is expanding and covers not only territories in our country but a number of CIS countries as well," he said.
This is suggested by the optimistic scenario, and the result depends on demand, Sokolov added.
In 2025, output volumes will be seriously higher than those expected in 2024, he noted. Earlier reports said that Avtovaz would produce around 500,000 cars this year.
Avtovaz plans to boost export of cars to 100,000 units per year after 2030, President of the company Maksim Sokolov told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Our strategy generally implies the export element for (after - TASS) 2030 of around 100,000 cars per year to various countries of the Asian, Euroasian, African and Latin American continents," he said.
Meanwhile, this year the company plans to approach the export level "of the previous five-year period," Sokolov noted. "Back then the volume of Lada
