The passenger traffic of Russian airlines in 2022 will reach only 94–96mn people out of the planned 100mn people, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said on Wednesday at a government meeting chaired by President Vladimir Putin. “We planned to carry 100mn passengers this year ... the local air routes to account for 90mn passengers and ... the international routes to 10mn passengers,” he said, adding that the current plan amounts to 94–96mn passengers. The latest information shows that Russian airlines have transported 87mn people as of today since the beginning of the year, he also said.
