Earlier, on November 16, Jamilco filed a petition with the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the acquisition of Monex Trading. This is a structure of the Kuwaiti Alshaya Group, which owns the master franchise of the British brand of children's goods Mothercare in Russia and decided to sell it in the summer. In September, it became known that Jamilko could claim to acquire a women's clothing store. The company is a distributor of New Balance, Kiko, DKNY, Timberland, Salvatore Ferragamo, Wolford, Juicy Couture, Wrangler, Lee, Escada brands. The company operates more than 150 stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don. Jamilko's revenue for 2021 amounted to 11.2bn rubles, net profit - 1.2bn rubles.
The European restaurant operator AmRest has agreed to sell the KFC business in Russia to a local company Almira LLC. The amount of the transaction will be at least €100mn, the agreement will have to be approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the American Yum! Brands, which owns the KFC brand. AmRest currently operates 215 KFC locations in Russia. Back in May, AmRest tried to sell its Russian subsidiary, which operates KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in the country, to the VTB Capital investment fund, however, according to Kommersant, the deal fell through due to sanctions against VTB.

Russian Internet company Yandex will unveil a $10–15mn electric scooter developed in Israel and produced in China, business daily Vedomosti reported on December 13quoting sources. A source said production costs can vary depending on a partner factory, materials, and the size of a batch. The daily said that the scooter was designed by electric scooter maker Wind, which Yandex acquired in 2021.
Yandex held its annual conference on December 15 . It was in the form of mini-video series about Yandex’s major services. The key takeaways are below.
· Yandex is developing its own electric scooter for its kick-sharing service (launched last year). There is little competition among e-scooters for sharing globally (only 2 companies), while the company believes its own e-scooter will be better in use. The e-scooter should be available for lease in spring.
· In mobility services, Yandex highlighted:
o The services efficiency –% time driver is with the passenger
– has increased from 40-45% in 2016 to 60-70% in 2022.
