Tochka is a project for working with small and medium-sized businesses that appeared back in the 2000s. In June 2018, Otkritie, Qiwi and Tochka announced the signing of an agreement to create a joint venture Tochka. Otkrytie then became the owner of 50% plus 1 share, Qiwi - 40%, another 10% minus 1 share belonged to Tochka's management through Catalytic People. In September 2021, Qiwi sold 40% of Tochka to Otkritie for almost 5 billion rubles (auditors then valued the entire company at 11 billion rubles). In March of this year, Tochka again changed its shareholders: Otkritie sold 90% of its shares to Trust. Another 10% stake in Tochka is still owned by Catalytic People Limited (Cyprus), a controlled group of investors led by Boris Dyakonov and Eduard Panteleev. They did not receive an offer to sell the remaining shares.
Antivirus maker Kaspersky expects its sales to rise by at least 40% in 2022 in Russia, and the trend may continue in 2023, Anna Kulashova, managing director of the company in Russia and the CIS, told PRIME on December 9. “It is still too early to stake stock, the whole December is ahead, and we traditionally have big plans for this time. But if we speak about the January–November results in Russia, we believe the current results are favorable. We see a significant rise in revenue, we hope we’ll top our aggressive plans and raise sales by 40% and more this year,” Kulashova said. Popularity of corporate and industrial systems security products has become the main growth driver, and the customers tend to opt for single platforms, she added. As to 2023, Kulashova said that everything depends on the economic situation in the country and the world, especially in the sphere of small and medium-sized business. “Nevertheless, we are set to keep on growing since the market is becoming freer and clients need protection,” the executive said.

    Russian mobile operator MegaFon has sold its minority stake in mobile electronics retailer Svyaznoy, which is on the brink of bankruptcy, RBC Daily reported on December 5 quoting the operator’s General Director Khachatur Pombukhchan. Pombukhchan did not name the buyer or disclose any details of the deal. “All I can say is that we are no longer shareholders of Svyaznoy, and our decision has nothing to do with activities or effectiveness of Svyaznoy,” he added. MegaFon is happy about the deal, he added.
On December 2, the management company Pervaya filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court to recover 2.13bn rubles from VimpelCom (operating under the Beeline brand), follows from the filing cabinet of arbitration cases. It has not yet been taken into consideration. The grounds for the claims and other details are not given in the case card.
