  5.2.4 Gross international reserves
    Russia’s international reserves increased by $20.1bn, or 3.5% to reach $567.289bn as of December 1, 2022, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) said on December 7.
The National Wealth Fund grew by 15.43bn rubles to 11.389 trillion rubles and by $1.645bn to $186.486bn in November, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
Separate accounts of the fund with the central bank stood at 41.892bn euros, 2.770bn British pounds, 478.478bn Japanese yen, 309.72bn Chinese yuan, 242.7mn rubles, 554.911 tonnes of conventional gold. Deposits with VEB.RF stood at 650.116bn rubles, the Ukrainian bonds in default stood at $3bn.
The investment in infrastructure projects of Russian entities amounted to 385.146bn rubles and $2.221bn. Investment in preferred shares of banks to 328.992bn rubles, in subordinated deposits with VTB and Gazprombank designed to finance infrastructure projects to 138.434bn rubles. The yield on investment in permitted financial assets excluding money on accounts with the central bank stood at 46.907bn rubles, or $742.8mn.
