2.7 Russian exports of oil to India set fresh high in May
India's import of discounted crude oil from the Russian Federation reached a record high in May, according to trade and shipping data, with state-run refiner IOC emerging as the largest importer of Russian oil, surpassing rival Reliance Industries.
In May, India imported approximately 65mn barrels of Russian crude, up from 60mn barrels in April and 26mn barrels in May 2022, as reported by Paris-based commodity market intelligence firm Kpler.
