Newly upgraded virtual marketplace aims
to bring together Estonia's service providers, e-residents
Estonia's e-residency programme has upgraded its e-Residency Marketplace to provide e-residents assistance in finding cooperation partners among Estonian service providers.
The new virtual marketplace was created for the purpose of drawing e-residents' attention to companies represented in the marketplace, the reliability of which has been verified by the programme team.
Deputy director of the e-residency programme Dagmar Vlassov said that greater engagement of Estonian service providers in the e-residency ecosystem is the key towards the Estonian state benefiting more from e-residents' success and activities.
Martin Laan, member of the management board of E-Residency Hub OU, a provider of business management service for e-residents, said
that the e-residency programme helps local entrepreneurs expand their business abroad.
The number of Estonian service providers on the marketplace has doubled over the past 18 months to more than 60 businesses.
Vlassov noted that companies undergo a thorough vetting process before they are represented in the e-Residency Marketplace as the programme team probes their business conduct, services offered, price levels and other aspects of their business.
To date, businesses created by over 74,000 e-residents of Estonia number close to 15,000. On average, a business is created by every fifth e-resident.
