Ural Airlines passenger A-320 on a wheat field near Novosibirsk as a “serious incident”, the perpetrators of which have not yet been identified. Airlines are advised to provide additional training to pilots to avoid similar situations in the future. For the first landing of a plane in a field in 2019, the pilots were awarded the title of Hero of Russia, and a film was made about the incident itself.
As Kommersant found out, the Federal Air Transport Agency recently sent out flight safety information to airlines, in which it called the emergency landing of an A-320 near Novosibirsk a “serious aviation incident.” The plane, flying from Sochi to Omsk, experienced a failure of one of the hydraulic circuits during landing, according to a document from the Federal Air Transport Agency. Since the Airbus hydraulics consist of three independent circuits, this malfunction did not interfere with the landing, but the crew decided to go around, writes Kommersant.
