AsiaElec: India gives go-ahead on domestic coal expansion
New Delhi has this week giventhe green light to coal mine expansion at 10 Coal India Ltd (CIL) sites across the sub-continent. The move comes as the nation moves into the cooler monsoon season in a bid to alleviate future power short- ages when temperatures start to rise again early inthe new year.
REM: US community solar market forecast to grow by 7 GWdc by 2027
The US community solar market will continue
to grow over the next five years, with at least 7 GWdcof community solar expected to come on- line in existing markets between 2022-2027. This is according to new research by consultancy and research group Wood Mackenzie in collaboration with the Coalition for Community Solar Access (CCSA).

Russian electric grid majors RosSeti (Russian Grids) and its subsidiary Federal Grid Com- pany (FSK) have announced the terms of their long-awaited consolidation, notablythe prices for the conversion of their shares. BCS Global- Markets analysts see a “few positive develop- ments” in the consolidation of the companies, as there should be a prospective growth in li- quidity for the consolidated shares, and poten- tial cost cutting at the headquarter level.
