Canada allocates $410mn to Ukraine, 'transatlantic security'. At the Vilnius summit on July 12, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced 541mn Canadian dollars ($410mn) in aid to support Ukraine and strengthen transatlantic security.
UK confirms military aid package for Ukraine. The British government presented a new military aid package for Ukraine at the Vilnius NATO summit on July 12, including tank rounds and armored vehicles.
Ukraine will receive $244M to purchase demining equipment. Several donor countries will provide $244M to Ukraine for the purchase of special equipment for demining liberated territories, said Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. The donors committed to helping Ukraine demine its land are the US, Japan, Germany, the UK, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, Korea, and the Howard Buffett Foundation. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, by the end of the year, Ukraine should receive ten demining machines from the Croatian company DOK-ING and another ten machines from Global Clearance Solutions. About 200 pyrotechnic machines, more than 600 metal detectors, 50 explosive machines, individual demining kits, explosive suits, quadcopters, and robotic systems for ammunition disposal will also be delivered.
6.1.4 Budget dynamics - privatisation
In July, privatization auctions brought the state budget UAH 521M. In July, the amount of winning bids at the State Property Fund's (SPFU) privatization auctions reached UAH 521M, twice as much as in the previous month. The final value of the assets exceeded the starting price by 250%. A total of 53 state property objects were sold. The largest privatized assets in July at the SPFU auctions through the Prozoro.Sales electronic systems were:
● Rivnetorf, the price of which increased 300% to UAH 205M due to competition between 12 participants;
● Novosilkivsky distillery, the winning price of which increased 300% - up to 90mn - due to competition between five participants;
● The Urozhai enterprise in the Odesa region, for which 22 participants competed, increasing the asset's value to UAH 65M.
In total, 385 entrepreneurs participated in 53 auctions, with an average of seven participants per auction. The top regional SPFU branches by auction amount in July: the Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Volyn regions.
The State Property Fund sold Rivnetorf at auction for 205M. The State Property Fund held an online privatization auction for the sale of the state-owned enterprise Rivnetorf, which produces peat semi-briquettes and non-agglomerated peat fuel. The selling price increased from an initial UAH 47.1M ($1.28M) to UAH 205M ($5.6M) as the bidding continued during the auction. The auction winner has 20 working days to pay the lot's price. In addition to the winning bid, the winner must also pay UAH 41M in VAT. In the event of a failure to pay, the fund explained that the winner will lose UAH 9.4M of the guaranteed fee.
