However, another fifth (20.2%) of the population, is more pessimistic and believes the necessary conditions for a boom will not appear in the near future. On in ten (9.4%) said they could not answer the question.
Regarding the potential sources of post-war economic growth, 28.9% of respondents expect the government to create favourable conditions for foreign investors and entrepreneurs, making them the primary drivers of economic recovery. Another 27.1% believe that Russia reparations for damages and the transfer of confiscated funds and property to Ukraine will pay for the economic revitalization.
Separately, a fifth (19.1%) of those surveyed view the improvement of business conditions for Ukrainian entrepreneurs as a key factor in promoting economic growth. Only a relatively small percentage, 8.9%, anticipate preferential loans and charitable contributions from Western countries will fund the recovery.
