Calling All Boys!
Soon after the Pantomime is over, we will begin preparations for our October musical ‘Oliver!’. It is one on the most popular musicals ever. Our production will have actors of all ages playing the main parts and chorus parts. Auditions will be held in March 2019.
The show provides a great opportunity for younger boys as some of the main scenes are set in a Victorian ‘workhouse’. A workhouse was where boys, in this story, were sent if they didn’t have anybody to look after them. So, we need lots of boys aged 7 to 14 to be in the show. It will be great fun!
To be in the show they don’t need any acting experience but must be able to sing in tune, move in time to the music and take instructions! There is no real ‘dancing’ so it will be open to many boys who would like to be part of a big show for the first time. Lots of help will be given so they will need to be able to attend many rehearsals.
Auditions will be held in March and boys should be between 7 and 14 on the 1st March 2019.
