2018 Superintendent Summer Leaders Symposium
“Committed to Educational Excellence”
is year’s theme, “Committed to Educational Excellence” is a direct re ection of the success we have all enjoyed in Region One over the last few years because of your leadership. is is a direct re ection of the commitment that each and every one of you makes, day in and day out, to providing the best quality education to all of your students. We have designed this annual Superintendent Summer Leadership Symposium to provide you with an opportunity to learn about some of the latest issues impacting public education today, to network with your colleagues from around the region, and to promote conversations with your leadership team in planning for the new year.
Our program this year is designed to focus on three critical areas that require us to devote the time and attention needed in order to move our districts forward. We’ve had some great presentations over the last few years, and this year is no exception as you can see from our agenda below. Take advantage of this time to re ect on the success you’ve enjoyed this year, and to use this new information to its fullest, as you prepare for the challenges to come.

How do we approach growth and professional learning using strengths-based strategies and practices? How can the power of re ection and re ective practices impact ongoing leadership growth? In this session, partici- pants will explore the answers to these questions through the use of a variety of activities, tools and strategies. Participants will leave with action steps for moving their leadership develop- ment forward.
