Vanni does not intend, however, to rely solely on gestures in the structuring of his works and studies nature to find the common key to the morphologies that interest him. This figuration can in fact be associated both with the knot of an olive tree trunk (which he had documented during his travels in Greece) and with the sluggish whirlpool of a stream or the twists of a lava flow. Having acquired the formal suggestion from these associations to common denominator Vanni, with the transposition that characterizes his poetics, he decontextualizes it suggesting interpretations that go beyond its origin.
