OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS AWARD
Bob Riester ’65
Bob is a proud member of the Class of 1965 and is the very first graduate of Padua Franciscan High School. His family generously donated the land that Padua is built on. Padua has been the cornerstone of Bob’s life development. He is thankful he learned the Franciscan values and developed life-long friendships at Padua.
Bob and his wife, Ginny, are members of The Friar Club and Bob feels very blessed to be able to give back to his alma mater. He often refers to Padua as his family,
and means it in every sense of the word. Throughout the years, Bob has been an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of Padua, it’s programs and students. No matter what is happening at Padua, there is a good chance you will see Bob and Ginny there. Bob believes in the mission of the school and wants others to have the same experience that he holds close to his heart. Bob is a Eucharistic Minister, taught PSR and confirmation classes at his parish. He is also very active in the American Payroll Association and was named Man of the Year in 1989 and inducted into their Hall of Fame.
OUTSTANDING ALUMNA AWARD
Donna Ross ’89
First and foremost, Donna Ross ’89 is “the proud mom of Hanna ’17, an Ohio State Junior and Jacob, a current Bruin in the Class of 2020.” She is a former Padua Trustee, serving from 2012-2019, and Board Chair, serving from 2016-2018. During her time on the board she worked tirelessly on the Padua Plus+ Capital Campaign. Donna led the way during multiple construction projects, which have changed the face of our facilities. Her guidance helped develop numerous educational and alumni programs which continue to bring our alumni back to Padua.
Donna was named to the Board of Directors of Kirkwood Industries, a company she joined in 1997 as Assistant Controller and where she now serves as Vice President of Finance & Administration. She is a CPA and holds a B.S. in accounting from Bowling Green State University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Cleveland State. Outside of work and Padua, Donna has been an active member of St. Matthias
