Fine Arts NEWS (Cont.) Shakespeare Competition
Five Bruins participated in The English Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition by performing a memorized Shakespearean monologue. The performance-based educational program reaches over 20,000 high school students nationally. Julia DiPaolo '21 won the school contest with
Tabitha Fritch '20 as runner up. Both young women advanced to the Cleveland-area contest at Shaker Heights High School to perform their monologue as well as a Shakespearean sonnet. Our Fine Arts Program looks forward to continuing this program next season.

One-Act Originals
Tabitha Fritch '20 wrote and directed her original one act play For the Love of the Gods in the One Act Festival. Her play brought laughter to our audience watching as Cupid intervenes when Insecurity keeps two high school crushes from finding love. The One Act Festival also included
the premiere of juniors Madelyn Graham '21 and Megan Hamilton's '21 play Lunch. Written for their Creative Writing elective, the young women rehearsed their play, revised their writing, and brought their characters to life with their cast
of actors. The audience enjoyed watching a new student navigating a school cafeteria trying to find the right place to sit at lunch before the final bell.
