traditional practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving (or giving to others).
Our Spanish Club wanted to help Central American communities. They teamed
up with a non-profit called the Pulsera Project. Our students helped raise $2,650 by selling 500 bracelets or “pulseras” and 15 purses to help improve the lives of people
in Guatemala and Nicaragua. The proceeds will help with jobs, fair trade, education and scholarships.
The Freshman Class filled baby bottles with coins to support Womankind. Womankind offers compassionate prenatal care to pregnant women. Over 200 bottled were filled with coins.
Through 11th period collections the students collected money to support Catholic Relief Services Rice bowl collections, Mission Possible and African Missions in Kenya and the Congo. Overall, the students raised collected over $2,100 dollars for the missions and CRS.
