SPRING SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS 2021
Padua Adds Girls Lacrosse Team
The Padua Girls Lacrosse team took to the field in their inaugural season under Head Coach Brie Martineau in the spring of 2021. With the addition of Girls Lacrosse, Padua now offers 25 varsity sports, with six teams competing in the spring season.
The Lacrosse team earned a playoff victory at Lima Senior High School before losing to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. Carly Frattare ’22 scored the first goal in Girls Lacrosse program history during the first game of the season. She finished the season with a team high of 22 goals.
“Being on Padua’s first Girls Lacrosse team was a great experience! I was able to make new friends while learning a new sport. Our team will always treasure being the first group of girls to represent Padua in the game of lacrosse,” Frattare said.
SOFTBALL
The Softball team advanced to the District Championship for the first time since 2003. They lost to eventual state champion Keystone 11-1.
TRACK & FIELD
Chris Vance ’23 is a State Qualifier in Shot Put finishing in 12th place and in Discus finishing in 6th place.
