PLEASE LET ME START BY SAYING THANK YOU.
Padua Franciscan High School left an incredible impres- sion on me the minute I entered the building and walked through the hallways more than 35 years ago. I am forever changed because of this experience- the person I am today is in large part a reflection of my time here. There is no greater privilege and honor than to come back to Padua and serve the school, students and the alumni.
I am incredibly grateful that my mom and dad found a way to send both my sister and me to Padua. I want to thank them both for this and the sacrifices they made, as well as instilling the value of serving others.
I truly want to thank and acknowledge the leadership, teach- ers and staff for all that you do each day for the school and the students. They are leaving here prepared, better people and part of an amazing Franciscan community.
This evening, I want to pause and thank my amazing family and friends. I recognize that no one becomes whom they are without love and support. I have been truly fortunate and want to especially thank my mom and mother and father in law for your guidance, patience and unconditional love as we navigated life. While not here, I want to also thank my
“adopted” mom, Mona Phillips for loving me as one of your own for over 35 years, too. To my husband, Dave thank you for the gift of your love and constant cheerleading through our life together.
Thank you for this honor, Padua Franciscan High School. I am humbled to be here this evening. I want to recognize all of the previous honorees and especially those being induct- ed tonight- Fr. Bob Stec, Br. Thom Smith and the Koler Financial Group.
WITH GRATEFUL VOICES PLEDGING - ALMA MATER WE WILL BE TRUE.
