It is fun to do a drii dive here, and there is always something new to see. Due to the unexplored nature of the site, the chances of witnessing new things are quite high.

8. Cool Shark & Tara's reef:
• Intro & History
One among the ini3al dive sites of Pondicherry. The name holds the key to this dive site. The easiest place to spot “sharks”! This comes from a dive day during the filming of ‘Life of Pi’ in Puducherry, 2011, with Jagat and Sanjay who were not scared at all. It is a great site to explore and understand the variety and diversity of Pondicherry.
The great Concrete Turtle - Tara's is an ini3a3ve of, of course, Tara from FERAL (Founda3on for Ecological Research, Advocacy & Learning) in Pondicherry, and an experiment in ar3ficial reefs and FAD (Fish aggrava3on devices). Weighing in at 8 Tonnes, it was placed very close to our Cool Shark site (approx 40m), with Julien co-ordina3ng the placement team. The structure sports a bunch of tunnels, holes and designs perfect for fish to hide and breed in.
