At Blake we have regional hubs across the country, allowing for widespread operations, whilst minimising our environmental impact through minimised travel. This progressing towards the target of improving urban air quality.
One of our key goals is to reduce our waste that is sent to landfill and to promote the recovery of} valuable materials and resources. To achieve this we use a local recycling company to bale and recycle all of our plastic and cardboard waste. So far this has amounted to 1494 tonnes,
or 374 Elephants!
In order to benefit life on land we are FSC® and PEFCTM registered. This meaning our materials are
fully traceable and from sustainably managed forests, preventing the increase of deforestation.
We understand our responsibility to enact responsible consumption and production. As such all of our warehouses have automated LED lighting systems and use electric forklifts.
Our VITATM range is created to tackle the use of single-use plastics that end up in the oceans. This range is 100% plastic free and sustainable being comprised of paper and cardboard. Through the replacement of plastic with paper we move one step closer to improving life below water and a more sustainable world.
As part of our ‘Giving Hope Through Education’ initiative we are continuing to donate to children in those areas where conflict is common, this to ensure that despite the area in which they live, they still have the right to education,
