PEFC stands for the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification; the world’s leading forest certification system which provides chain of custody certification of all paper based products.
Dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third
party certification, PEFC endorses national
forest certification systems and has recognised certification systems in 53 countries. By involving local stakeholders in the standard-setting and decision-making procedures, PEFC ensures that these standards are adapted to meet local cultural, socio-economic, physical, biological, climatic and geopolitical realities whilst also aligning with internationally-recognised bench- marks for sustainable forest management.
