Family Memorial Poem
My Dearest Family,
It seems my stay with you there wasn’t very long,
And the day I had to leave you feels so awful--so wrong!
I know my leaving you may have shocked and hurt you so, That it’s hard to remember that God controlled my time to go.
Our God is truly the loving Guide of each of our life’s paths. Now that I’m gone I fear no pain, one’s evil, no one’s wrath. Here in Heaven God has wrapped me safely in His arms. Now, no matter what, I can never come to any more harm.
Our God is the Master of each and every person’s life’s plan.
I can say this because He still holds me by the hand.
In His awesome love, He leads us on earth and certainly beyond, I want you to remember that even though, right now, I’m gone.
Know that the Lord really has prepared a place just for you And He will put a heavenly garment on your shoulders, too. If we listen, obey and follow the way God tells us we must go We can count on Eternal Life with Him because He told us so.
You have more time there and some things yet to do on earth.
As you live, remember the talks we had. Don’t forget their worth.
I will watch over you from here with our Heavenly Father while I wait And I will be so happy to see you when you come through the Heaven’s gate.
So, some time long, long after your tears of sadness finally subside You will meet me here in Heaven and again walk right by my side. Though you miss me now, know that I will spend eternity with you Just be patient and know that ALL of God’s promises are true.
The JOY of life in Heaven is something I can’t even begin to describe! About I can really say is, “You’ll see when you arrive!”
And this I want each of you to know--my love for you can never ever die. So think of me as just waiting for you--up here, above the sky.
I love you all,
Your Loved One
*P.S. I have a new name now! I’ll tell you when YOU get here!
