The Carteret County Area Transportation System is an accessible public transportation service for all residents and guest of Carteret County. It is authorized by the Board of Commissioners of Carteret County.
Carteret County Transit participates in great programs for our seniors, such as regularly scheduled trips to the Leon Mann Center!

• Ferries can accommodate motorcycles and any size car, trailer, or recreational vehicle that can operate on the highway.
• Service is provided 365 days a year on all routes.
• Restroom facilities are at each ferry terminal and on vessels.
• Pets are permitted on the vessels and must be kept in the vehicle
