John Wesley Powell Museum

6 North Lake Powell Boulevard, Page
The John Wesley Powell Museum portrays the experience of Powell’s epic Colorado River voyages in 1869 and 1871. Relive the exciting journey of this early explorer. Sketches, photos, and other memorabilia, plus full size replicas
of actual boats used, give an appreciation of
the rigors of life on the river. The museum also displays a unique collection of Native American and pioneer artifacts. Other exhibits focus on the geology of the canyons cut by the Colorado River and the history and development of Page. Films on Lake Powell, dam construction, and other subjects are shown free upon request.
The bookstore, gift shop, and Page-Lake Powell Visitor Center can help you plan your trip to Lake Powell and secure everything necessary, including your houseboat or hotel reservations.
Museum admission is free (but they appreciate donations) and their hours vary, so call or check their website for times.

Association

Page is an isolated
community of about 8,000 people, surrounded by a Navajo Reservation. It is difficult for people of limited means to travel to big cities to experience cultural experiences. The Lake Powell Concert Association is an all-volunteer non-profit corporation that was formed to bring culture and the performing arts to the city of Page and the surrounding areas.
The LPCA sponsors a series of concerts each season (October–May) designed for family entertainment. All performances are held in the Cultural Arts Building (CAB) located on the Page High School campus. Sponsorship of the Lake Powell Concert Association helps underwrite the performance fees and is greatly appreciated.
