Seniors and caregivers can benefit from a variety of programs available in our area.
Senior Centers
The Sussex County Senior Centers are open to anyone 50+
years. Most locations offer lunch for free to seniors 60+, lunch for a small fee to individuals under the age of 60, and an opportunity to meet new friends and engage in other social or health related programs.
Many also offer home delivered congregate meals. Most
offer activities, medical transportation, referral services for caregivers, day trips for shopping, health-screenings, and more. Flu or pneumonia shots are given during the fall months. Disease prevention and health education seminars are offered throughout the year. Some also offer classes, health seminars, dances, support groups, crafting, and parties.
