The Randall Jones Theatre is a magnificent cultural attraction. Since its completion in 1989, it has hosted many outstanding plays and performances of the famous Shakespearean Festival and also housed several other art and cultural events. The theatre itself is a work of art. The hand-laid gold leaf adorning the balcony reflects the fine craftsmanship so prevalent in this “city of festivals.”

Part of the new Beverly Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts, the Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre is one of the new additions to the Utah Shakespeare Festival and replaces the Adams Shakespearean Theatre. This new facility houses the festival’s administration offices, new ticket office, artistic and production facilities, a greenshow stage, and restrooms, as well as the Southern Utah Museum of Art and a 200-seat Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre. The charm of the old Adams Theatre is not lost at the festival, but the spirit of the festival is enhanced with this new visionary theatre.
