for the people of Delaware, and others who are admitted,
meaningful and relevant education that emphasizes both the
liberal and professional aspects of higher education. Within this
context, the University provides educational opportunities to all
qualified citizens of this state and other states at a cost consistent
with the economic status of the students as a whole. While
recognizing its historical heritage, the University serves a diverse student population with a broad range of programs in instruction, service, and research, so that its graduates will become competent, productive, and contributing citizens.
Delaware Technical Community College, the First State's only community college, promises access, opportunity, excellence, and hope to each student who enters its doors. Delaware Tech offers academic, technical, continuing education, corporate, and community training opportunities
in more than 100 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Courses are offered in

and culture. The college is an open admission institution fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Traditional classroom courses are available at four convenient locations throughout the state.
The University of Delaware has grown from its founding as a small private academy in 1743 to a major university. Undergraduates may choose to major in one or more of over 100 academic majors. The University's distinguished faculty includes internationally known scientists, authors, and teachers, who are committed to continuing the University of Delaware's tradition in providing one of the highest quality undergraduate educations available.
