  19 - 22 November Capture to Print Retreat

If you are looking to combine your photography passion with an awesome long weekend, then come join our small group based at Lake Ohau for our Rugged Landscape & Moonlit Photography Capture to Print retreat.
We'll coach you how to use simple composition techniques and work with you to master your camera's settings. If you don't have neutral density (ND) and circular polarising (CPL) filters, we have a selection available for use which will assit you to enhance your images to enable you to capture those amazing long exposure images and tuition is available on their use. We will help you to take your RAW images and create awesome images with using both Lightroom and Photoshop. Not only will you have an amazing time, but you will come away with having met some amazing #photographybuddies and be more confident in your photographic expertise.
ITINERARY
Friday 19 November: Arrive at Christchurch Airport where you will be met by Lesley, Meghan and our Gary our driver. Drive to Lake Ohau, stopping off along the way for lunch, arriving late afternoon and settle into our accommodation at Lake Ohau Quarters which is nestled at the southern end of Lake Ohau. This evening, a few minutes walk, we will capture images of the sunsetting across Lake Ohau and the surrounding snow capped mountains.
Saturday 20 November: We rise early this mornng and head out on Lake Ohau Station, captu- ring amazing wildness images across Temple Valley, Temple bridge and Temple stream. After lunch an afternoon of photo processing and workshop on astro-landscape photography. Tonight dinner, we are treated to a private tour to Mt John Observatory for our astro-landscape photo- graphy experience with wide open dark starry skies. We learn about the celestial views and we can use their telescopes to see farther than the naked eye. Return to Lake Ohau Quarters and we can continue capturing astro-landscape images. Enjoy a glass of Baileys tonight.
Sunday 21 November: After breakfast, we continue learn how to create those amazing astro- -landscape images and prepare them for printing. After lunch, we have a choice of heading back out Lake Ohau Station or heading to Glentanner (near Mt Cook) for a helicopter flight to Mt Brown (at your own cost) capturing images of Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. Photo processing this evening.
Monday 22 November: After breakfast we prepare and print our images before heading back to Christchurch Airport. Before we stop for lunch at Geraldine, we spend time at Lake Tekapo capturing iconic images of lupins as this is peak lupin season.
