Why did you acquire it?
I absolutely LOVE Mabel – she is the most wonderful character, and I think her voice and these books are truly hilarious.And the stories all feel incredibly true to life and fantastically authentic – they cover exactly the sorts of themes and subjects that fill the lives of 5 year olds, and are perfect for their target age group.
Series Synopsis
Narrated in first person, each book in this highly-illus- trated, hilariously written series includes three short stories, with a contemporary real life setting and hugely relatable subject matter. Mabel, the hero of the series,
is an incredibly funny, mischievous, and imaginative five- year-old who lives with her parents and big sister. Mabel finds herself getting into all sorts of adventures, and even though she doesn’t ALWAYS do the right thing, her heart is usually in the right place.
