Making a mummy
In this embalming workshop, the ancient Egyptians are turning dead bodies into mummies! They believe people carry on living after they die and this is their special way to protect bodies in the afterlife.
They dry the dead bodies out, wrap them in strips of material and put the mummies inside coffins. Sometimes they even mummify animals!
