The 2017 Wainsgate concert series continues on Sunday, June 18 with an all-Hebden Bridge line-up.
The newly-formed Charlie Carr Quartet comes to
the atmospheric venue
to perform a captivating collection of original material and intriguing arrangements of great songs not usually found in the jazz repertoire.

2Summer art show
Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax Landscapes, a new exhibition in the Crossley Gallery
at Dean Clough, Halifax, features semi-abstract landscapes by leading artists from Amsterdam, England and Scotland.
The exhibition has taken two years to plan and the work has been selected by curator and painter Siobhan Wall. The Summer Shows at Dean Clough open on Saturday, June 17 at noon and run until
September.

Todmorden
Summer 2017 sees an exciting ‘first’ for the Water Street Gallery in Todmorden- an exhibition with the focus on abstraction.
Opened by the Mayor of Todmorden Coun Christine Po er, Towards Abstraction features work by more than 15 artists, many of them with connections to the Calder Valley, including Dominic Vince, Shelley Burgoyne and Chris Bland.
The works on show - paintings, sculpture, prints, ceramics and mixed media
- explore form, colour,
shape and line with varying degrees of simplification or complexity. The exhibition runs until August 27.
