IT I LAD been sixteen long years
in the making.
But on Wednesday night,
after years of highs and lows
in the second and third tiers of
English football, Leeds United
finally rose once again to the
top flight.
Following the club’s 4-0
demolition ofCharlton Athletic
at Elland Road during the
final game of the season, the
Championship trophy was
officially presented to the
Whites during a post-match
ceremony.
.And there werejubilant
scenes from players and staff as
they celebrated as champions.
