The Great Yorkshire Show catwalk promises celebrity guests, previews and the county’s best upcoming talent.
A host of stars will be taking to the catwalk at the Great Yorkshire Show Fashion Show in a one-off celebrity special.
Famous faces from the worlds of sport and TV will take to the stage at 2.30pm, Tuesday, July 11, in the Fashion Pavilion.
The identities of the famous models are being kept under wraps until the big day which will be packed with exclusives as top designers and high street giants showcase their new collections.
Bespoke designs from Wetherby-based James Steward Couture will be on the runway along with his new ready-to-wear collection.
James, who runs the business with his sister, Hannah Moody, has dressed celebrities including Kylie Minogue and Katherine Kelly.
His exclusive collection includes the Birdsall Dress, which is named a er the house owned by Yorkshire Agricultural Society president, Lord Middleton.
The catwalk shows, which take place during the day
at 11am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4pm, will be a place
for exclusive previews with John Lewis showcasing its Modern Heritage, Autumn/ Winter designs.
In keeping with the
Great Yorkshire Show’s countryside heritage, brands featured will include countrywear stalwarts, Barbour, alongside up and coming Yorkshire designers such as Laura Slater. Her limited edition collection, designed in collaboration with Kin by John Lewis, is her first venture into clothing.
Long-standing show supporters, Keighley- based Brook Taverner will be giving the audience a
preview of what the best dressed men will be wearing next season. And the star turn making their debut in the Fashion Pavilion, will
be the two new Yorkshire Agricultural Society Tweed ladies jackets.
Keep a look out for the next big name among the
up and coming designers from Harrogate College, Hull School of Art and Design and Huddersfield University. The student designer’s creations are diverse and exciting. The fashion show is co-ordinated by Bernade e Gledhill,
of Morton Gledhill – The Fashion Team with hair and make-up by The Artistic Team at Harrogate College.
All the action from the Fashion Pavilion will be on Twi er, join in the conversation at #GYScatwalk.
This year, Yorkshire Agricultural Society will be showing its appreciation for the support Yorkshire Cancer Centre has shown a member of the YAS team, by holding a collection at the fashion show.
