WELCOME TO THE NINTH EDITION OF SHEFFIELD’S INNER-CITY MUSIC FESTIVAL.
Tramlines sees Shef eld at its very best, with music coming from every corner, and this year is set to be no different.
A streamlined festival across our three outdoor arenas has allowed us to bring music-lovers our biggest lineup to-date, and to introduce some exciting developments across the festival. Outside of the legendary likes of
Toots & The Maytals, The Libertines, Metronomy and Primal Scream, there’s a ton to discover over three full days of music.
This year will see the reintroduction
of the much-loved Devonshire Green stage, with a lineup including grime legend Kano, US hip-hop innovators The Pharcyde and one of the UK’s biggest ever girl groups, in the form
of All Saints.
There’ll also be a new area at our main stage at The Ponderosa. The Into The Trees stage in the top eld will offer up a bill of crowd pleasing electronic music, with the likes of The
Heatwave, Don Letts, Alexander Nut and The Re ex.
Meanwhile, a new stage at Academy 2 in partnership with the PRS Foundation will allow fans to check out a bill of exciting emerging talent.
The genre-busting lineup continues down in the sanctuary of the Folk Forest, with Syrian musician Omar Souleyman bringing his unique electronica to the stage alongside alt-pop songwriter Cate Le Bon, whose unforgettable vocals call to mind the legendary Nico.
This year we will be operating a cup deposit scheme at our main stage and Devonshire green. Pay £1, which you will get back when you return your cup and have nished drinking.
Thanks to every single person who works tirelessly on the festival through the whole year. You know who you are. You’ve helped us to make 2017 our biggest and best Tramlines yet, and we couldn’t do it without you.
When leaving stages at the end
of the night, please remember that we are in a city full of residents and try to keep noise to a minimum. Please drink responsibly, remember to pace yourselves and drink plenty of water, which is provided for free at the stages. We operate a strict zero tolerance policy to both illegal drugs and ‘legal highs’. Nitrous oxide will not be permitted.
Anyone found to be in possession of banned substances or items will be refused entry and the appropriate legal action will be taken. No refunds will be issued.
Bag searches will be in operation at all festival venues.
By entering into the festival arenas, you give your consent for your image to be recorded.
Please note that performances do contain ashing lights and strobes. It is illegal to bring ares, reworks, smoke bombs and any other pyrotechnics to festivals or music events. You could face up to three months in prison if you do so.
