What has been your involvement with your platform? I have worked diligently to educate young and old on proper food nutrition and offer exercise options that are enjoyable to all ages. I have also planned and implemented fundraisers for the American Heart Association to help fund educational programs to help keep the heart healthy.
What inspired you to first become involved in your platform? My grandfather had multiple heart attacks beginning when he was in his fifties. I learned early on how important eating properly and exercise were to having a healthy heart. I do not want other families to go through what we have and feel it is important that we understand the causes and ways to prevent heart disease.
If you are selected as the winner, how would you mobilize and market your platform nationally? I will team with the American Heart Association to represent my platform and educate others on how to keep your heart healthy. I will introduce my children’s program and expand it to reach all fifty states. Together we can fight obesity and help our youth live longer and healthier lives.
How would you utilize social media in order to positively further your position as a titleholder if you are selected as the winner? Social media is an absolute must in today's society. It is the easiest and quickest way to reach vast numbers. I will utilize all forms of social media to have daily healthy snack ideas, keep updates on most current research and go live with fun and easy exercises. I will also use these avenues to build support for the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Program while working alongside the directors and those in charge to make sure I am doing and posting everything that is asked of me.
