Platform: Child Abuse Awareness is my chosen platform and I have been working with the Carl Perkins Center related to my platform. Child abuse continues to be a prevalent issue in our society with at least 1 in 7 children having experienced abuse. As a victim of child abuse myself, ensuring awareness and preventing the abuse of children has become a personal vocation. My intent is to protect other children from these adverse experiences by spreading awareness and helping those who have been victimized, with coping strategies.

The greatest lesson I have learned is perseverance. I have endured trials that most have not, but I refused to give up. I have carried this lesson throughout my life and into many aspects of my life. I have learned that hard work and persistence pays off.

My greatest accomplishment was winning the West Tennessee Soccer Most Valuable Player this past year.
