What can you do during your Tenure of Service as a Titleholder to impact your community? To impact my community I can continue to raise awareness for Teen Suicide, continue my work with SASH by letting young girls know they are important, volunteering in my community.
What has been your involvement with your platform? I have attended several events to raise awareness for teen suicide. I have held multiple fundraiser. I go to youth groups and share my story with them hoping to change someones life.
What inspired you to first become involved in your platform? My best friend, Gianna, committed suicide when she was 11 years old.
If you are selected as the winner, how would you mobilize and market your platform nationally? My plan is to use local organizations, social media groups, classrooms, and youth groups. Building a child's self confidence is a lifelong lesson. By giving them the opportunity to express themselves through crafts and quality time is the first step to teaching them about community service. As teenagers, we can be role models by reaching out and being a role model to the younger generation. Helping the young kids will make them feel special, help stop depression, let them know they are important and we are here to help.
How would you utilize social media in order to positively further your position as a titleholder if you are selected as the winner? By setting up events and spreading positive messages. I would use social media to empower young girls by sharing my experiences and instilling self esteem.
