Employment Experience: I have worked for my parents’ business since I was 15 years old. I also Worked in the daycare at Arlington Pet Hospital. I now currently work for a nutrition shop.
Special Skills & Activities: I have a vast array of hobbies and interests. I can compete in a pageant one night and then clean sprint cars at the dirt track the next night. I spend about 10 hours a week practicing my routines for dance. During my dance career, I have had to endure two knee
surgeries. Without the help of my God, my parents, my coaches and teammates, I would not be
where I am today. For as long as I can remember, I have known that my future lies in health
care. I have always wanted to follow in my grandmother’s footsteps of becoming a nurse, and I
strive to be as successful as she has been for the past 40 years. I am proud to say that I am following in those footsteps as a Level I nursing student at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
What can you do during your Tenure of Service as a Titleholder to impact your community?
When parents read one book each day to their young children, those kids will enter kindergarten having heard approximately 1.4 million more words than kids who were never read to. This sets kids up for
success. Through the partnerships that I have cultivated with local and state leaders and organizations, I
am using my title and my voice to advocate for the importance of early childhood literacy. Collecting and donating books, speaking to parents, educators, and community leaders about the resources available to
