What can you do during your Tenure of Service as a Titleholder to impact your community?
During my Tenure of Service, I can actively educate and inform those around me to support anyone who may need it and to be the best version of themselves. While attaining to my cause, i can also help shape the mindset of those around me who aren’t very self aware about how what they say and do could affect the next person.
What has been your involvement with your platform?
I’ve worked with my organization to raise awareness and advocate for women rights and justice for those who could not speak up about their case. I am very passionate about leading my city and state and hope to make a positive impact and become a role model for all young women. While keeping a busy and active image, I plan to continue taking this year head on and work until I reach the finish line. I would also like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to lead with my title and to publicly show the world what I have in store for the year.
What inspired you to first become involved in your platform?
Rape and assault are social causes that are very important to me. This topic can be very sensitive to myself and others because it happened to a family member of mine. This past year I took initiative and control by partnering with Memphis Rape and Crime Victim Center. While donating items to the women and children in need, I got to hear stories and learn how to allocate to someone who has gone through this.
If you are selected as the winner, how would you mobilize and market your platform nationally?
If selected as a winner, I would go around to local schools, public events, and if given the opportunity speak about my platform on television. With the change our state is actively going through with women’s choice on what happens to their bodies it is important to know what all we as a gender go through.
How would you utilize social media in order to positively further your position as a titleholder if you are selected as the winner?
Social Media is very popular within my generation. Using social media would allow me to make posts and comments without making everything seem so serious and direct all the time, I would be able to make topics more comfortable to discuss and educational in a fun way.
