What can you do during your Tenure of Service as a Titleholder to impact your community? I will continue to spread the S.E.R.V.E platform of the Teen Volunteer Organization as well as continue to lend my help within my community by volunteering where help is needed.
What has been your involvement with your platform? I have donated non-perishable goods and prepared meals for the homeless within my community. I have also donated towards various organizations across the state that involves less fortunate kids.
What inspired you to first become involved in your platform? I noticed a man on the side of the road sleeping under a cardboard and another asking for change just to get something to eat. I felt it was my calling to help them. As I grew, I realized it’s not just something you see on the streets. It’s something that was within my own school. A few of my classmates were sleeping in their cars with their families and I felt obligated to help them as much as I can, by providing meals and other sources that they need.
If you are selected as the winner, how would you mobilize and market your platform nationally? As the 2022 Tennessee Iris Teen, I’d spread the word on homelessness. It is not about the statistics of homelessness but about the reality of those in our communities that does not have the available resources that they need to survive. If we all just lend a hand to help them at least place their feet on a solid ground, then the world would be in a better shape and humanity would be reformed.
How would you utilize social media in order to positively further your position as a titleholder if you are selected as the winner? Social Media is the now and the future. Providing informative videos, livestreaming events that shows the S.E.R.V.E platform and speaking out to the world with positive messages. One positive note brightens many hearts.
