Noro Ramanantsialonina
Noro, aka Nina, is the head of the Ladieswear Department and has been with LeNique for 16 years. She began sewing at the age of 14 by helping her self-employed, seamstress mother, and made her first dress at the age of 15. Nina enjoyed sewing and went to sewing school during her summer vacations for a few years. After she got married, she continued making clothes for her family. After working as an Accountant for the Habitat Project of the United Nations in Madagascar and New York, Nina decided to use her experience in sewing and quickly
connected with LeNique.
In 2006, she moved from New York to Los Angeles with the company. Using her sewing and management experience, Nina oversees the production of dresses from the initial sketch to the final quality control check. She guides the sewing team, trains the staff weekly to ensure that the garments we produce are at the highest quality, and performs a final quality check at the end of the production cycle. Nina is passionate about each dress, developing new patterns and designs so each dress is unique to the wearer. In addition, Nina started to take dance lessons not only for fun and exercise, but primarily to understand LeNique's customers and their needs. Using her understanding of the process and her eye for design, Nina is able to capture a sense of haute couture and the way it is linked to the tradition of the past, the present, and what that design means for the future.
