SALES & MARKETING COUNCIL COMES TOGETHER WITH YOUNG PROFESSIONALS LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE
2021 Kick-Off Meeting
On Wednesday January 20th, the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) and Young Professionals Leadership Committee (YPLC) came together for their annual Kick-Off Meeting at the GSABA ballroom.
Wyndy Clark, 2021 YPLC Chair had a vision for this year’s kick off meeting and wanted to convey that coming together for team building and networking was a priority in 2021. “We want to provide an opportunity for our YPLC and SMC members to come together and network safely knowing we are committed to our member’s safety. YPLC is dedicated to the growth of its members and aims to motivate, inspire and promote and we hope events like this will help us achieve our purpose.” This year a virtual component was offered for those members who wanted to attend the Kick-Off Meeting virtually.
Executive Vice President, Kristi Sutterfield and GSABA President, Ed Berlanga were there to welcome everyone with some encouraging words on the importance of getting involved and making personal relationships at GSABA. Ed Berlanga confirmed that with “fun, enthusiasm and passion you can do really well. That’s what GSABA is all about.”
A total of twenty enthusiastic SMC and YPLC members were in attendance for the kick-off meeting and after introductions and networking, discovered that the group had over
256 years of combined industry experience.
Delayna Kessler, 2021 SMC President, shared this year’s goals and objectives. Starting the year strong by hosting a successful Million Dollar Circle Awards event in March. “Last year 150 sales professionals received an award and recognition and this year we’d like to meet or exceed that number.” Other goals included bringing SMC members together through a day of service by volunteering in the community each quarter as well as offering educational workshops geared towards the sales and marketing of new construction homes.
Wyndy Clark and co-chairperson Jorge Flores shared their goals for membership growth and have asked members to increase participation and focus on membership in 2021. YPLC will be holding an upcoming “Voices of the Future” panel in April with two of San Antonio’s top Realtor® professionals and two builder representatives.
SMC and YPLC will be hosting a fun Virtual Game Night in February for members to come together, network and get to know each other in a fun and safe environment. Contact Delayna Kessler or Wyndy Clark for more details.
