WHY SABPAC MATTERS
The San Antonio Builders Political Action Committee (SABPAC), the
political action committee of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association
(GSABA), is a vital component of GSABA’s advocacy program. On Thursday,
October 30th, at the San Antonio Gun Club, SABPAC will host the 7th
Annual 3PAC Fundraiser benefitting the local, state & national political
action committees.
SABPAC provides financial support to the homebuilding industry and
is committed to protecting housing affordability and consumer choice.
Through your personal contribution, we can pool our resources and unite
to support the best-qualified, pro-housing candidates for local, state, and
national offices.
Changes in local, state, and national law or regulations could be
detrimental to your business. Your contribution to GSABA’s SABPAC is an
investment in your company's future and the future of the residential new
home and remodeling industry. SABPAC also provides you with access
to members of Congress, State Legislators, and City Council members.
With the support of our members, GSABA’s diversity, effectiveness, and
influence have grown significantly over the past several years. Your active
participation in GSABA is one of the single most significant contributions
you can make to our industry. We are fortunate to have many of our Past
Presidents, senior officers, and members involved in cities and counties
throughout our 22-county jurisdiction.
Please join us on Thursday, October 30th, for an afternoon clay shoot,
followed by an evening of delicious delicacies, scotch and bourbon tastings,
cocktails, and fine cigars. Please bring your personal gun if you plan to
shoot; ammunition will be provided to you.
We respectfully request that you make a $300 personal donation to join
SABPAC. If you would like to enter a team of four, the investment is $1,000.
Please make your payment with cash, personal check, or personal credit
card. We can only use personal funds contributed to SABPAC to support
pro-housing elected officials and candidates. It is not too late to sponsor
the 3PAC event. Please call Torrance Abrams at 210-696-3800.
If you are interested in getting more involved with our government
affairs and advocacy program, we have a meeting with the City of San
Antonio’s Development Services Department (DSD) immediately following
the October 21st Board meeting at 1:00 pm. Amin Tohmaz has recently
been promoted to DSD Director, and we are excited to congratulate Amin
and welcome him to his new role. We have had the pleasure of working
with Amin and his team of professionals for several years.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 21st, for the GSABA Board meeting
at noon; lunch will be served. This is a great way to meet the leadership
team and learn about what is happening at your Association! Please call
Darlene or Gaby at 210-696-3800 to let us know if you can attend so we
can have your lunch waiting for you.

We also have our Quarterly Cibolo City Team
call on Wednesday, October 10th, at 3:00 pm.
City Manager Wayne Reed and his DSD staff all
attend the call, and it is full of great information
on what is happening in Cibolo.
Many of you know that I have had some health
challenges the past two months. I am on the mend
and back to work part-time. Thank you for your
prayers and for your continued support of me
and GSABA. I am blessed to be part of such a
wonderful association!
Warm Regards,
12 OCTOBER 2025 | GREATER SAN ANTONIO BUILDERS ASSOCIATION
