SA Spring Tour of Homes
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 Spring Tour of Homes presented by CPS Energy. This year, we are pleased to showcase five key communities along with 64 homes located within the 22 counties that the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA) serves. The tour is open two weekends Saturdays, March 29th and April 5th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Sundays, March 30th and April 6th, from noon to 5:00 pm.
The Spring Tour of Homes truly offers something for everyone. There are many architectural styles of homes on the tour this year including American Transitional, Con- temporary, Modern Hill Country, and more. In 2025, several new home trends are emerging as homeowners prioritize sustainability, technology, and comfort. Here are some key trends to watch:
Sustainable Living: Energy-efficient homes with solar panels, smart thermostats, and sustainable materials are gaining popularity. Homeowners are increasingly looking for eco-friendly features that reduce their carbon footprint.
Smart Home Technology: Integrated smart home systems continue to evolve, offering convenience and se- curity. Features like smart appliances, advanced security systems, and home automation are becoming standard.
Flexible Spaces: With remote work becoming more common, homes are designed with multipurpose spaces that can transform according to needs—think home offices that can also serve as guest rooms.
Indoor-Outdoor Living: Homes that blur the lines be- tween indoor and outdoor spaces are in demand. Larger sliding doors, outdoor kitchens, and cozy patios create inviting areas to connect with nature.
Wellness-Focused Design: Features that enhance well- ness, such as circadian lighting, air purification systems, and spaces for relaxation (like meditation rooms or wellness gardens), are becoming essential.
Minimalist Aesthetics: Clean lines and minimalistic designs remain strong, with an emphasis on functional furniture and decluttered spaces that promote mental well-being.
Color Trends: Earthy tones and calming colors are popular, creating serene environments that reduce stress and promote relaxation.
Community-Oriented Living: There’s an increased interest in communities that offer amenities and foster connections among neighbors, such as shared green spaces and community gardens.
These trends reflect a shift toward creating homes that are not only functional but also enhance the quality of life for their inhabitants.
On tour, you will find elaborate wet bars and back-to- back kitchens in a few of the custom luxury homes, along with butler pantries and wine storage rooms.
Certain Key Communities feature Amenity Centers with swimming pools, walking trails, and schools nearby. While we have five communities being featured, the new homes on tour are located throughout GSABA’s 22-coun- try area, which includes San Antonio, Boerne, Castroville, LaVernia, Converse, Shavano, Park, Seguin, Schertz, and Tapatio Springs.
