ACCELERATING FORWARD: UPDATES FROM THE YOUNG PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE
Our Young Professional Leadership Committee is off and running in the races! We began the year with an incredible kick-off networking mixer, setting the tone for a year filled with collaboration, growth, and meaningful connections. It was heartening to see our young industry professionals come together, toasting to the new year and the collaborations it promises to bring.
In February, the momentum continued as our group gathered for a dynamic roundtable discussion focused on project management. We were honored to host guest speaker and GSABA’s 2nd Vice President Brady Johan- son, whose insights and expertise added immense value to our dialogue. This breakfast meeting provided a plat- form for robust exchange and learning— from sharing best practices to discussing emerging trends.
April marked a momentous occasion as we came to- gether to commemorate the fourth Annual Crawfish Boil and Giant Pong Tournament. This year's festivities were nothing short of spectacular, as our event transformed into a vibrant celebration that left attendees buzzing with excitement and delight! We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of the GSABA staff, participants, and volunteers, whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in the success of our event. I would like to personally thank Shirlee Sanders for her leadership and help in leading this event with YPLC.
It is thanks to their tireless efforts that we were not only able to turn a profit but also achieve a significant margin, underscoring our organization's financial savvy and stra- tegic planning. With a renewed commitment to excellence and innovation, we are confident that the event will be even more memorable and impactful than ever before. With
each passing year, our events continue to grow in scale and popularity, and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming Chili Cook-off as the next chapter in our journey of com- munity celebration and camaraderie.
We eagerly anticipate your presence at our upcoming breakfast event on Thursday, June 20th at 8:30 am: the Young Professionals Panel Discussion. Here, esteemed young industry leaders from within our ranks will generous- ly impart their insights, invaluable tips, and closely guarded secrets to success in the professional realm. Your atten- dance promises to be both enlightening and inspiring as we collectively strive for excellence in our careers.
As we move forward, our commitment to providing re- sources, support, and opportunities for our members re- mains unwavering. With each meeting and event, we aim to foster a community where young professionals can thrive, grow, and make a meaningful impact on our industry. If you are a Young Professional in the residential construction or remodeling industry, we invite you to join us.
Stay tuned for more updates and upcoming events from the Young Professional Leadership Committee. Your participation and engagement are integral to our collective success, and we look forward to the journey ahead.
