bill. Congress should also make meaningful investments in our nation’s education system to encourage students to pursue careers in the skilled trades.
Our meetings were well received, and San Antonio’s Congressional delegation listened to what we had to share, reviewed the materials we provided and said that they were supportive of the home building industry.
It is our responsibility and duty to meet with our elected officials on the local, state and national levels to advocate for housing and housing affordability. It was a great trip for my wife, Regina and I to attend. If you ever have the chance to join the NAHB/ GSABA Washington trip, I encourage you to go!
We don’t host meetings at GSABA in July because so many of our members take vacation. We would like to invite you and hope you will join us at the Summit Awards on August 1st at Pedrotti’s Ranch at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www. sabuilders.com.

Serve on the Board of Directors in 2025
The Greater San Antonio Builders Association is accepting nominations to serve on the Board of Directors. Nominations must be received by August 31st, 2024.
Nominate a member (self nominations encouraged) who you believe will contribute leadership to the Association for the next
3 years. Eligibility for nomination requires
a person to not have served on the Board
of Directors within the last 12 months. The Association Membership will receive ballots by September 13, 2024, to vote and select 4 Builder Directors and 2 Associate Directors which will be sworn in at the Holiday Gala on December 5, 2024.
