City of Cibolo Zoom Meetings Scheduled for 2nd Thursday at 2pm with City Manager and DSD Team
Your Government Affairs Leadership Team led by Shad Schmid, Tim Pruski, Joe Leos, Liz Richter, Paul Powell, and many others have made great strides with the City of Cibolo over the past four years.
GSABA leaders and I met with the City Manager, the new Development Services Director Ismael Segovia, and BJ Bealor with BB Inspections on August 3rd to discuss the City’s hiring of BB Inspections to handle all residential permitting and inspections. City Manager Wayne Reed asked us last year to give him one year to effect change within the city and he was a man of his word.
To continue building our relationship, the City Manager proposed we meet bi-monthly by Zoom starting on Thursday, November 10th at 2pm. If you are building, remodeling, working, or developing in the City of Cibolo and would like to be part of these calls, please email me at KSutterfield@ sabuilders.com so that we may turn your email into the City of Cibolo to include with the invitation for our monthly meetings.

KRISTI SUTTERFIELD
City Manager and Rick Cortes, Asst. City Manager on June 8th, and August 23rd to discuss the extreme delays in obtaining building permits. They have had severe issues with their new software program, and they are working to get them corrected. We have been discussing proposed changes to the Uniform Development Code to include 10’ perimeter fences around residential communities, water supply issues, development, and platting issues just to name a few. The new Chief Building Official was hired in the Spring and there have been changes made to allow the City Staff to concentrate on inputting residential permits. The city was in favor of master permits at our last meeting and GSABA will be working with the city on a pilot program in the very near future.
If you would like to attend the next Seguin breakfast meeting, please email me at KSutterfield@sabuilders.com. There is no cost for the breakfast, but reservations are required.
