THANK YOU FOR AN
INCREDIBLE YEAR AS YOUR
PRESIDENT
As 2025 winds down, so does my term as President. What a whirlwind
it has been! I want to take a moment not just to reflect, but to celebrate
what we’ve accomplished together—and to look forward to what’s next.
First, to those who made this journey possible: Frank Sitterle and Jeff
Buell, thank you for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to serve.
Your trust allowed me to pursue my passion for Sitterle Homes and for this
association, and I am deeply grateful. Greg Sommer, Dave Wisely, thank
you guys for your support, and we are fortunate to have you two on our
Sitterle team.
To the GSABA staff—you are the heartbeat of this organization. Your
dedication, teamwork, and friendship have been nothing short of inspiring.
And to our Executive Director, Kristi Sutterfield, your recognition as EO of
the Year by the National Association of Homebuilders says it all. You are the
best in the business, and your leadership has propelled this association to
new heights. Personally, your guidance and friendship have been invaluable
to me, not just as President, but throughout my time on the board.
To my family, thank you for being my foundation. My brothers and sister-
in-law, Ken, Larry, and Anna. My children and their spouses, Tiffany and
Marvin, Paul Jr. and Valerie, my grandkids. My mom, the core of our family,
you’ve all have been my strength. To my wife, Candy—my best friend and
biggest advocate—thank you for being there with me every step of the way.
It has been a very challenging year for you, and you have never wavered
in your insistence that I fulfill my obligation to GSABA or Sitterle Homes.
This year flew by, but what a year it was! We faced challenges, but we
didn’t just survive; we thrived. When obstacles appeared, we pivoted,
adapted, and overcame. At the start of the year, I asked us to tackle three
big goals: increase membership, strengthen committees, and erase a
budget deficit. And
guess what? We
did it. Because of
your hard work, our
events exceeded
revenue goals, and
we closed the year
in the black.

behind this success. I give thanks to our chairs
and to our staff who worked tirelessly to make these
events shine.
Our advocacy has been very successful.
Through the tireless efforts of our Government
Relations Committee and SABPAC, we have been
able to forge governance in our industry’s favor. We
continue to be a voice in city halls and capitols, and
we show strength in numbers.
But our impact wasn’t just financial and
administrative—it was community-driven. This year,
our charitable efforts reached new heights: PWB’s
work with the Magdalen House, YPLC’s Snack
Pack for Kids, SMC’s initiatives, and Operation
Triage’s Veterans House led by the Pencsak family.
These projects didn’t just make a difference—they
changed lives. We proved that when we dream it,
we believe in it, we can achieve it.
As I move one chair down, I’m excited for what’s
ahead. Our incoming President, Brady Johanson,
and the executive board are ready to take GSABA
to even greater heights. The future is bright—and
it belongs to all of us.
In closing, I thank you again for your trust,
your energy, and your commitment. Leading this
association has been a dream come true and a
blessing I will never forget. Let’s keep building,
keep growing, and keep making an impact. The
future isn’t waiting—it’s ours to create.
Sincerely,
Jeff Kuwamura
