Fry High
Your guide to everything fries
Story by Molly Clark
In case you missed it, National French Fry Day was celebrated July 13 by all the french fry lovers of America. French fries, the classic American favorite, aren’t French. History tells us the Belgians were serving thinly sliced fried potatoes as far back as the late 17th century! No matter where they came from, fries are now as American as baseball and apple
pie, and everyone has their own ideas on who makes the “best” fries. Who has the best tasting fries? Is quality more im- portant than quantity? Are they better on a plate, or in a paper container that fits in a cup holder? Curly, straight, or waffle? Thick or thin? Seasoned or just salt? Just what is it that makes us crave their, hot, crispy, wonderfulness?
Taco Bell recently came out with their Season Two Nacho
Fries. On these fries there
is a seasoning that... May- C be it is better if we don’t ask.
With 3 ounces of fries for
$1.36 with 260 calories per
container of Nacho Fries. Of
course, it wouldn’t be Taco
Bell if a food item didn’t
come with a side of cheese
dipping sauce. Get these
while you can; word on the street is they won’t be around
forever.
